Place: St. George Church 3400 Dawson Street Pgh, PA 15213
Dr. Robert Friedlander, MD and the researchers from his lab at UPMC will be
attending our celebration this month. Dr. Friedlander is the Walter E. Dandy
Distinguished Professor, chair of the University of Pittsburgh Department of
Neurological Surgery and co-director of the UPMC Neurological Institute. Dr.
Valerie Suski and her clinical team at the UPMC Center of Excellence will also be
attending. She is director of the UPMC Huntington's Disease (HDSA) Center of
Excellence, co-director of the Movement Disorders Fellowship, clinical director
for the Movement Division, and an associate professor of Neurology at the
University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. At this event, we will learn & discuss
the research occurring here in our home city of Pittsburgh!
This year, Jimmy Pollard is focusing on sharing gratitude for the unique partnership of families
and scientists which have brought us this far together. As he says, “It’s the foundation for the
advances that cannot arrive fast enough in our quest for a cure.” Gratitude can inspire hope,
and we have taken him up on this endeavor! Don’t miss this event and all of our guests as we
kick off May Awareness month, and don’t forget to bring friends and family with you!
