The Chapter was honored this year to receive a bequest from the estate of Sandra Wessel.
Sandy, wife of Bruce, mother of Wendy and Kelly, passed away in 2024. She lived in Harrison City and devoted many hours to volunteering with the Greensburg support group. She was a devoted caregiver to her husband and a fierce advocate for her daughters, all who passed from HD. We are honored by this donation, and the Board will be working to allocate the funds to honor Sandy’s legacy.
The first opportunity we were able to offer was to open up scholarships for the 2025 HDSA National Convention. Through the National website, W PA residents were able to complete an application, telling their HD story, and requesting assistance attending the convention in Indianapolis.
