12 Days of NYA is the only fundraiser, held outside of the HDSA National Convention, that directly supports youth programs and scholarships. NYA motivates youth to get involved in their local HDSA Chapters, Affiliates, and Support Groups in efforts through education, fundraising, advocacy and awareness for Huntington's disease (HD), fatal genetic disease that affects the nerve cells in the brain compared to ALS, Parkinson's, and Alzheimer's disease.
